Veterinary Receptionist

We’re now looking for a warm, organised, and proactive Veterinary Receptionist to become a key part of welcoming our clients both on the phone and in person. At AVL, we deliver premium veterinary care, so we are seeking passionate individuals who can provide an equally outstanding level of client service.

As the first point of contact, you’ll play the important role of shaping each client’s experience. You’ll be the friendly face that greets them, reassures them, and ensures every visit runs smoothly from arrival through to departure.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll balance client care, administrative duties, and team support, all while helping create a calm and professional atmosphere.

Your Day Might Include

• Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
• Managing appointment bookings and arrivals using RxWorks
• Supporting the promotion of our Healthcare Plan
• Coordinating follow-up appointments after consultations
• Assisting the clinical team with queries and communication
• Maintaining accurate digital records and scanning documentation
• Handling client enquiries, medication collections, and orders
• Processing payments, including finance applications
• Keeping reception running smoothly in a busy environment (including emails and social media queries.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both professionalism and genuine care to everything they do.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar client-facing role within the veterinary industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
• A calm and efficient approach in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to exceptional client care
• Confidence using computer systems (experience with RxWorks would be a significant advantage)
